    A stunning new Desktop, the first truly new development in desktop PCs in several years. Works well, once you correct 2 flaws. My turn to step again into the early-adopter line for a new piece of cutting-edge tech. This HP Envy 34 all-in-one is a stunning machine, and the end result is something very new in the rather stale field of desktops. Not since Apple introduced the 5K iMac 27” have I seen such a radical step in desktop PCs. This is a long review, very long. It includes some DIY info at the end for opening this PC and hard drive replacement. So, you’ve been warned. Let’s get started.My rating of 5 stars is based on the end result.     Beautiful but underpowered machine–questionable engineering choices Bottom line: This computer has the style of a Ferrari with the engine of a Volkswagen. A beautifully styled computer with solid, but very average, performance. Recommended with caveats.My Alienware “desktop” tower computer died after a short bout with motherboard problems.
