IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY THIS LAPTOP THIS WILL HELP YOU OUT!!!! I gave this laptop 5 stars because it is really amazing. Everything it is supposed to do it does and it does it well. However, there are some software conflicts that I ran into when I first got the laptop I think are partially due to windows 10. They took a little research for me to fix and once I did the laptop is unstoppable. Some of things you need to do are basic sense others a little bit more of trial and error and research. So first things first.1.) When you get the laptop open Asus gaming center and turn the display to vivid, it gives the best visuals overall hands down.2.) You need to immediately uninstall gamefist 3. It is a program designed to help manage your internet bandwidth to prioritize it for gaming. Great idea poor execution. This program caused horrible download times internet speeds and even made gaming worse. It also caused conflicts with NVidia Gaming Center. I was unable to update or download the gaming center. After I…

Fantasic. Picked up this laptop for a variety of reasons. Mainly for gaming on the go which i never thought possible. With this machine I can play all games on ultra with a little tweaks here and there. Mostly just turn down or off the AA and I get a solid 75 fps with G-Sync on. G-Sync works fantastic and i have yet to see a screen tear with v-sync off. I got the machine with no SSD but a 1TB HD. The HD came in 2 main partitions of the OS (300 GB) and the other (500GB ish). I shrunk the OS partition but was unable to extend the other partition together for some reason. So far I’ve played:*All games were ran at the 1080p resolution. For mobile gaming I didn’t expect anything higher. Additionally for gaming i always have it plugged in for highest performance possible.*Witcher 3 on Ultra 60-65 fps (no AA or Hairworks.)Bioshock Infinite on Ultra solid 70-75fpsDead Rising 3 on Ultra with frame rate unlocked 50-60 fps with no AA. This really wasn’t…

Make it 5 stars (Some pc knowledge needed) I bought this locally as I needed a laptop ASAP. Since there are no reviews, I thought I would share my thoughts. The good: See the specs. i7-4820HQ, 2×8 gb ram, up-gradable to 32gb total. AC 7265 WiFi. BT 4.0. The IPS 17.3″ 1920×1080 screen is incredible. The GTX 965m is based on the new Maxwell GM204, not a re-badged GK104 Kepler. Build quality is second to none. Red back-lit keyboard. This is one of the few laptops that have a second, full sized 2.5″ hard drive bay. After doing the upgrades below, this is the fastest laptop I have ever used. The bad: Slowest possible hard drive (5400 rpm) you can get. Heavier than most. Boot times are horribly slow. How to make it a five star laptop: Some computer knowledge is helpful. Proceed at your own risk.1- Move the installed hard drive to the second hdd bay. Replace with an SSD in the 1st bay. Page 98 of manual. (5 minutes)2a- Do a fresh install of Windows10 on the SSD. This will remove…
