GREAT MACHINE : 2 Common Complaints But Easily Solved PLEASE READ: I spent at least 6 – 10 hours before investing in this machine. I have compared everywhere and found this to be the best bang for the buck. I saw lots of reviews that made me worried about the wifi as well as the mouse pad on this device but I have found ways to stop the problems which I will address here.1) Wifi Problem : the wifi sucks when you first get the machine, all I did was uninstall the Intel ProWifi software and it has worked perfectly after that.2) The MousePad, yes like everyone says it is very sensitive, BUT all you have to do is search in Cortana for “Mouse Settings” and use the scale bar to turn down the sensitivity.These are two simple solutions to all the complaints I found to this machine.So, how is the machine itself? All in all, great laptop! First off, this item actually has 3, 3.0 USB ports, the Amazon description says something else.The Good:- After pulling the laptop out of its box , I noticed right away how thin and light the laptop was.- I like that the keys have a little rubberized feel to them, instead of being slippery.- I like the addition of the touch screen which seems responsive like a cell phone, and the screen is clear.- For battery life, I would say that I get around 7, 8 + hours (web browsing, occasional YouTube/Pandora, programming, Microsoft Office suite), which is perfect for me! I use the lowest brightness setting (comfortable for me), generally the keyboard backlight is turned off, and power save mode is on; I recharge only once a day.- I sat by a bright window the other day, and there was a bit of glare, but the screen was bright enough to mostly mask the window light, and I used maybe 50% brightness.
