If you are having trouble getting your Xbox One to detect the drive… I really like this product but it did take a bit of effort to get it working. I had great difficulty getting it setup initially. It seemed like no matter what I did, I could not get my Xbox One to detect the drive (A 2TB Samsung Seagate drive in my case).I followed the included instructions and turned on the Energy Saver feature in order to fully power down the Xbox (Yes I know that I could just hold down the front power button to the same effect). I then plugged in the hub and turned on the Xbox. I was supposed to be greeted by a wizard that would allow me to format the drive. Nothing happened. I rebooted a few times and still nothing. The drive was not showing up under Settings -> System -> Storage. So I took the hub off the Xbox and plugged it into my PC as a test. Windows detected the drive without any issues. For grins and giggles, I added a partition and formatted the drive. I plugged it back into the Xbox and it still would not detect the drive…

Great Product But, Had Issues with Samsung HN-M101MBB 1TB I have been waiting anxiously for this product to come in stock so I can upgrade my Xbox hard drive, and so I ordered it knowing it would be awesome while before I would get it.The product does come in a very nice box. It has a nice matte finish, and it is packed nicely in foam packaging. The product is very easy to use and my hard drive fit into the enclosure very nicely without much work. The USB ports worked great for me as did a 80gb hard drive, but once I put in a terabyte hard drive neither the xbox or my computer could recognize it. I am hopeful that I have received a defective unit, and that a replacement will be able to fix this.Overall great idea, and great product when it works.EDIT: I have received the replacement enclosure, and no dice. The hard drive still does not work. The HDD I am trying to use is a Samsung HN-M101MBB. And the power it draws is 5V, and .85A. I am wondering if this is just too much for the…

It was pretty easy to switch out he enclosures however getting them … I was really excited to receive this product. I had pre-ordered it and after 4 months of waiting amazon had cancelled my order. A month later I saw it in stock so I quickly purchased 2 for my black consoles (didnt have a matching 1 for my white console). I had already been using 1TB external usb 3.0 hard drives on both these consoles for about 3 months. I took the HDDs out of the enclosures they came with and placed them into the Collective Minds enclosure. It was pretty easy to switch out he enclosures however getting them to fit on the Xbox Console was a bit more difficult. You really need to apply some force to get it to snap on.It recognized the hdd right away since it had already be used previously. Seemed pretty easy and I was happy with it. Now to why I gave this 1 star…After day 3 of using the collective minds enclosure my xbox stopped recognizing my hdd on 1 of consoles. Keep in mind I have been using this hdd for several months and never had a single…
