This book covers a bit of the same material that was in the first book (how to repair & troublehoot home appliances), but the majority of the information is fresh and new. It covers how to fix problems with your refrigerator, kitchen cabinets, oven, dishwasher and sink. It doesn’t sound like much, but all of the common issues that plague these things are covered and great solutions are given that show you just how to fix them. I recommend it.

I alluded to this in my other review of the bathroom troubleshooting book.

Well, the dishwasher problem got fixed today, to. The seal was all worn out on the ride side, so water was leaking out during any wash cycles.

I got a new seal while I was out, removed the old one, slapped the new one on and ran the dishwasher. Just 1 run so far, but 0 leaks! Woo! Killer books!

If you have any common sense or are at all handy, you can pass on this book. The “troubleshooting” is very simplistic with no photos or diagrams. For anything other than the most simple problems (like checking your breaker or cleaning your lint screen), the author recommends calling a professional. You can get everything in here and more from various internet sites.
