okay, I actually the GM version now, and I wonder if the same applies? I have the most problems with the boot drive part I can not bless the drive, and usually when I boot through chameleon I get a kernel panic ..

You should really consider building the creation of an installation for the Mac Pro 1.1 for how many users even yourself, this is simply impossible for us, even if we follow your instructions carefully it does not work. I know we would be forever in your debt. If you time something of course …. not that you have it all, so you can get to work on something that has no use for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars work on my 2008 pre-unibody MacBook Pro 15″! (purchased from Amazon and not from a dealer) , January 7, 2011

NOTE I purchased this from Amazon and
not by one of its third party merchants. seems Amazon has the sale of the original Apple adapter 29/09/2011. Be careful when buying form instead an unauthorized reseller Amazon.
INTRO I needed a Replacement MagSafe charger for my 2008 pre-unibody 15 “MacBook Pro and discovered that Apple no longer sells the model A1222 85W MagSafe charger that came with my MBP. I was worried that the purchase of the newer replacement model Apple MagSafe 85W charger would not be found compatible with my older generation MBP because of complaints online about incompatibility. This incompatibility was alleged. Resolved with a firmware update to the older MBP, but there were still reports online this firmware update is not allowed to work the newer MagSafe charger
I was relieved to find that this newer model MagSafe charger works fine with my older MBP I have no charging issues at all.
    PROS
1 Works on my older pre-unibody MacBook Pro!
2 In the same interchangeable parts and design as the MagSafe A1222 (with the exception of the “L” shaped connector on the end that connects to the MacBook Pro)
3 Does the longer extension cord
4 Looks nicer than the older in-line “T” connector of the A1222 model
    CONS
1 I’ve added a bacon shell on my MBP, the thickness of about 1 mm, which is enough to the MagSafe connector is not fully seated. The connection still just enough of a deep seat, the collection, but the connection is not comfortable and are easier than using the more in-line “T” connector.
    separated second Expensive

    TIPS
You can still find online the older model A1222 85 Watt Apple MagSafe charger if you prefer the more in-line “T” connection, especially if you have a case like me that did not fit the plug caused complete (although there is still functional).

The new design still has the same large magnetic connection, but it connects to the laptop out at a right angle, rather than straight as the old design. This is great if you are. Only your laptop on a desk, and you want the power cord was neatly out of the way right at the back of the computer However, I use my laptop while sitting on the couch, coffee shops, and a variety of other locations and outlets in random locations. This often causes the power cord to the laptop connections are bent awkward in random directions by. Undue stress on the cable where it connected to the I can see that. Thus a break in the internal wires may have a bad connection in the future
Secondly, because it is at a right angle if you want to use the USB port on the left side of the computer (pre-unibody MacBook Pro), you can position only with the string based on the back, otherwise is there to block the USB port and the microphone / line-in port. Finally
because the new connector is very thin, it is difficult to conceive that force you to remove it from the laptop by. cable itself again placing undue stress on the power cord
I will say these statements are subject to I am with the new connector style with a pre-unibody/early-2008 MacBook Pro and not a newer model, that these connections may have been designed primarily to deal with work. However, as from the photos on the Apple website, you will have the same problems to have unpleasant orientation and blocked ports on the current MacBook Pros, as well.
Bottom line, I recommend buying a MagSafe Power Adapter with the old, “straight-out” design, if you find one. Otherwise, does the new design, but takes some getting used to.

Flat out, I love the MagSafe power cord you have. prevented a disaster many times when my mac on a table and someone was somehow tripped over the cable. If I still have my old Dell, I’m pretty sure that the entire laptop would be held were off the table. But I digress. At loss of my power cord to my MacBook Pro (Late 2008) during a movement, I ordered a replacement promptly
. I was well aware that these MagSafe Power Adapter to be a little different, especially the MagSafe head actually seemed to be plug in your computer, but I thought the agreed price and I had no reservations. After receiving the item, however, I realized that it was a bit of trouble. The Magsafe old style adapters could be inserted in any orientation with no problem. This new style , but when plugged into a particular orientation of your Ethernet connection is required it (in a different direction at least it works on the MBP stuck late 2008 models block – I’m not sure if have the new MBP models its charging port in a different location ). No, I do not know a great offense and I’m picky, but still … how could that get to the Apple guys?
Overall, it’s a small problem that I feel is not enough to distract from the . to justify position it 4 stars
