So I’ve added this to my Macbook Air 2012 and I definitely love it When I first got it but on my laptop, it looked really embarrassed (I was not used to him there). Yes, the lights do not match exactly, and yes, the power button looks like an “eject CD button ‘, but I love it! If you just turn your lights button, then you can hardly tell! Also, it is reduced the tip-tap of the keys, which is perfect for me because I’m taking to school and I do not want it to be a distraction for the other students in my class. Overall, I love it. And even after it ! was my mother to go buy their own It’s really nice

I recently ordered this product, and I love it! It adds a lot of character, and a perfect fit for your MacBook. It also soothes the typing a bit, which is very convenient for entering in the night. The color is shown in the picture the true color of the product is not always common when ordering products on Amazon. Many people do not have the characters on the keyboard appropriately weighted with the characters on these types of products, but that was no problem with this one. Especially when you turn on the backlight when you are in the dark, the buttons and the cover correspond almost perfectly. You can hardly say that there is a case on the keyboard, it looks like the keys are colored, you can barely see the background between the keys, because of the clear color. Overall, I love this product and think it was money well spent.

This keyboard cover is great! Turn on your laptop before you place this cover so that you are not worrying about pressing all buttons on it set just right. It takes only 5 minutes, and it fits and looks great. It looks like the keys are colored in fact, not covered. Your fingers will not even notice any difference in the touch of the keys. I’m so glad I bought this! No more dust or animal dander floating in the keyboard – and it looks even better when you cover one of the rubberized laptop case to go with it if you get to add a color that is the same or one that adds it. The price is unbeatable! By the way, it came in a large manila type envelope, similar to the usual junkmail People tend to get all the time, so watch for it and take it off before you open it carefully! (I almost tore the envelope!)

This product is basically three products: an AirPort Extreme wireless router, a network drive, and finally with Leopard, a networked backup system. Overall it is a very good product, but there are some serious limitations you should be aware of.
as routers, it’s fantastic. Typical Apple ease of use, with all configuration done by a very intuitive GUI application.
Unfortunately it is not a large network drive. The drive will be connected internally to a very slow USB port. You will find that even with a computer over Gb / s Ethernet connected, transfer speeds to around 5-6 MB / s, tops limited. If you connect two Macs via Fast Ethernet, you can often get more than 40 MB / s transfer rate, this is a pretty big disappointment, especially for a device that will get a lot of use if you use Time Machine.

Time Machine is great in theory, and can act as a form of automatic version control, but it has a few problems. First, it is a file-based differential backup. This means for example that if even a single bit of a 1 GB file is modified, saved the entire file. This not only has a lot of time, it will quickly consume your backup drive, because the same data is recorded onto the hard disk again. To get around this, you must explicitly exclude backing up large files that are often changed. Good candidates for exclusion are email and iDisk caches and virtual machine disk images.
There were also numerous reports of Time Machine backups is prone to corruption. I did that once experienced after a backup was canceled, so I can testify that it happened. However, the problems can often be fixed by deleting the last backup. The next backup takes a long time, as the computer has to scan the whole hard drive again, but the backups then continue normally thereafter. I have to have Time Machine. My backups in a state where they by this method can not be fixed
Time Machine backups have their place, and will come in very handy to restore accidentally deleted files. However, they should only be used as part of a larger backup scheme. You probably should not be trusted for a full recovery, and will not be of any help, if your computer’s hard disk fails completely, anyway. (How did you run Time Machine, if you do not go to boot your computer EDIT: As the commenter pointed when your drive completely fails, you can still install the system from the DVD and then to recover your files from the Transfer Assistant the Time Capsule. It is not as good as a full backup, as Transfer Assistant is notorious for breaking applications, but you will not lose your work.) As such, you should image your entire drive regularly, in addition to using Time Machine.

This product will die on you unexpectedly. I was shocked when I stop working randomly and I was furious when I found this forum shows 74 pages with about 15 posts per page of people with the exact same problem. Telephone support from Apple provided no help. How could Apple do such a defective product and would not object.

I have worked in the IT departments and understand how difficult it can establish networks and backup strategies. After the PC technology worked for years, it’s a blessing, you open an Apple product every change I get the opportunity. Plug it in and it works. This device, by its nature, is a bit more complicated – but only a bit. The reason I thing is that after installing Snow Leopard, my wireless network signal to be from time to time I have to reset it falls. This is a well documented problem and not unique to my setup. I hope it’s something that Apple fixes in the next version as my parents, frustrated with the struggle of the art, with this problem.
