review is from: HTC EVO 4G Android phone for Sprint (Wireless Phone Accessory)

Before addressing the hardware and functionality of this phone, let us quickly on the five-part equation that make up your entire Smartphone User Experience:
    (1) the hardware … the phone itself
    (2) operating system software
    (3) installed applications
    (4) the network (overall and where you are on the phone at any given time)
    (5) the service

In some cases, there are serial dependencies on the factors mentioned above, how many phones are tied to specific operating systems or service providers. Or perhaps you spend much time in an area without 4G service. Remember that even if you are a great phone to make choice, deficiencies in other areas can reduce your overall user experience.
you not to move to a smartphone without some exploration of these possibilities. Which provider and what mobile operating system? Who can offer me the best service , or the best combination of price and service? assuming the rest of this review, you already thought to why a phone with the Android operating system might be a better choice for you than an iPhone, a Blackberry or a Windows-based smartphone solution .. .

conclusion for the HTC EVO 4G. feature loaded, user-friendly and to go wrong with a hard choice in a crowded smartphone market
The phone comes with an impressive array of skills and Apps and to find and install new from the Android Market is also for non-techies just
Two very strong performers in the pre-installed applications Google-powered Voice Search and Navigate are:. both are incredibly good at providing search results and driving / walking directions. This phone’s voice-to-text interface is also very good, and can be used for composing text messages and delivers search results without having to enter. Surprisingly, a voice-based dialing application that is part of the operating system’s collection of widgets is rare . really get the Evo on-screen keyboard is adaptive your compositions over time, and automatically suggests completes for words you frequently type
The phone has two cameras:. an outwardly high resolution ( 8 megapixel) still / video camera and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video applications. It comes with an 8 GB microSD card. A surprise inspection of the phone is the placement of the microSD card into the battery compartment. Though You can move files from it to the USB port, this phone would be improved if the card were accessible without removing the rear cover are.
addition to the USB port, the phone has a 3.5mm aux audio jack and an HDMI port
. the back of the phone includes a “stand” so that you can stand the phone on a horizontal surface when the display is in landscape mode (ideal for using the speakerphone or watching videos).
Customization of the scrolling display is intuitive. in our house even nontechnical users were re-arranging icons and applications in no time.
Each telephone, video and image quality are satisfactory. ‘ br /> The overall goal is goal of this phone – literally -.. quite smooth it can go sliding easily pulls on leather car seat, and both the screen and frame and display fingerprints Whether you are in the damage / loss insurance that most companies offer decided I would recommend is both a screen protector and some case or holster to offer a minimum level of protection for the phone.
mnay ways to protect it, but also for our multiple Evo phones we have found the following to a good mix of protection and offer price:
target = “Fishbone” protective case (red linked here, other colors are available)
SGP Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint Screen Protector Sprint (anti-fingerprint)
Let these protective devices soak wear instead of the phone and display.

discussed more reviews battery life, and it is worth addressing . This phone has five separate radio transmit / receive devices:
    -the standard cellular (3G/CDMA) transceiver-the 4G transceiver

Bluetooth (for short-term use of handsfree and data exchange)
    GPS receiver
    wifi transceiver
Each of these devices will exert its own demand on the battery. Selective can turn off when not needed, together with the setting a shorter time for the display to turn off (2 minutes or 1 minute) will go a long way to get the battery to alleviate problem. Moreover, there is a longer life aftermarket batteries (usually covered with an accompanying modified case to their bulk of their additional space), the easy to get you through your will … Read more

This review is from: HTC EVO 4G Android phone for Sprint (Wireless Phone Accessory)

My Samsung phone Android experience was slightly different than my HTC Android phone experience. HTC is definitely better, more stable, even better, battery life is poor, but the penultimate overall quality and robustness of the phone in question. Let me try to tell you why I am so enamored by this phone.
1 Surfing is excellent, the download is fast, the web pages load in seconds and even on 3G the phone is super fast, I have switched never on the 4G for more than an hour and should feel it only if you are downloading be a very large file. You might wonder what the purpose of 4G is, so good, although the 4G function is there, the phone is faster than any 3G phones on the network by a mile (Hero, Moment, Optimus S to name a few) So The browsing is excellent.
2 I used GPS once in the attempt, a bar with a friend of mine in the city was to be found. Who was Downtown Manhattan knows what a headache directions it but with this I have it just in time. Yes, it’s a bit of getting used to and can be used yes, if you forgot to turn off GPS, the phone is going to complain and really hot.
3 Of maybe seven or eight phones I’ve used in my life to this. Enter the loudest speaker when using Pandora It is quite clear at the same time. While the EPIC can have loud speaker, the Evo has the clear one, for hours at a time, I’ll leave it at the volume level 2 play off the screen, and it is the best jukebox. There are several applications for music and phone customization and level of speed and concentration is nothing less than excellent. It’s never confuses between two running applications and multi-tasking is the best on any phone. Loans to Android and HTC Sense developers.
4 The stand is a unique feature that can be useful when in a manner that is the back of the black EVO smooth and a pleasure to hold in your hands. The QWERTY touchscreen is really good and I’ve almost mastered. When I was with the Nexus S, the touchscreen keyboard was terrible. The touch screen on this phone is the best I’ve seen on any phone. Perhaps it is better than my ipod touch to the device now I never touch. I do not need to Swype because I hold fast enough for me to use the phone vertically.
5 The alarm feature is just awesome and I had to make a point about it, because even if you do music you hear two tones, a. For the music that others get to give the alarm, functionality and customization again a big score here The notification bar is the best I’ve seen on any Android phone.
6th The battery life is horrible. Worse than Samsung phones. I have a solution that will cost you money. It is a Seidio battery that goes into your phone but is not, an extended back. You, and you get a day with your phone. With the STOCK BATTERY, there is no use with your phone.
7th One of my biggest complaints with this phone is the earphone speaker is too low. When I’m in a crowded room full of people, I always get up and go. With my Blackberry or Samsung I never had to. So yes, this is not the best phone in the world, talk to. It is a very big mistake and makes me like the phone is immense. When you connect headphones, it’s loud enough, of course, but who does every day or all the time? Me, I think.
8th Ships with 8GB memory, the touch screen is perfect and never forgets a single blow, the freezes phone ever and yes, it has once or twice since I had it but reboot I’ve never had a phone that does not ever want to restart one way, so can not complain. I use not just any killer app, on the night I keep my brightness to the lowest level, I restart my phone daily to kill all apps running in the background. I use Winamp to play music. There are several shortcut and widget options. The phone has a beautiful time display, weather display and quite a sense of humor. The four capacitive buttons always work.
GREEN NOTIFICATION light is friendly and not too much like the BlackBerry RED. I know it’s stupid to compare, but I’m stupid. The camera is simply too horrible to be honest. Although better than the BlackBerry, it’s still very difficult to take pictures at night. The flash is too flashy and washes his face. Netflix is running smoothly, I do not have the screen yet, but I have seen several cracked cracks Evo. I did not bother rooting or any of this nonsense.
Overall a solid phone with 2 errors I can live with. I will not deduct any marks because the phone has several stand outs.

This review is from: HTC EVO 4G Android phone for Sprint (Wireless Phone Accessory)

I love my EVO. I have it since it was published. I am now 18 months into my phone and I’m just as happy with him as I lifted the day i was there. I’m on my 2 year upgrade with Sprint and I have no intention of upgrading. What would I upgrade? The I-Phone is not 4g. The software is very stable and Sprint tends to update the EVO before other phones. My only complaint is not capable of some of the useless apps that come preinstalled on the phone remove. I was able to almost everything from my phone when I’m not in my office. The best thing I’ve ever done.
