Please see my UPDATE at bottom of the REVIEW!
I received this a Christmas gift and I could not be happier with him. Ideal for surfing and as ereader. Also ‘customizable’ or ‘unlockable’ by googling to find out how. For me it’s not slow like other people have complained. It has Samsung 800 Mhz ARM processor. Scans very nice. Wifi no problem for me. I have two story townhouse and it works great on the first floor. A wireless network is only as good as the access point. I am using a D-Link 625 that. Best router I ever owned If the signal is not good, this thing will cringe when purchased. Something not so noticeable with my netbook, if only the education
    page
    Pros:.
cheap, battery life is excellent (takes twice as long as using my netbook with 6-cell battery), light (weighs only half as much as ipad), by looking beautiful, runs Android, great book reader, screen is also very nice and appealing considering that it is resistive, but also video and audio plays but not the best.

    Cons:
slow android 1.5 to not so many programs available, the screen resolution is great, very tinny sound, resistive screen, screen rotation, does not sync with my Yahoo account somehow does not recognize my phone, the mobile wireless router even though the encryption support.
All said and done, I love this thing and surf while I’m playing or watching television, despite the fact that. an Asus UMPC laptop and an Acer Netbook It is definitely worth the money in my book. I’ve never bought one, because all the negative reviews. I am glad that I receive as a gift, and if I had known that it was actually fine, I would have bought it in a heartbeat
UPDATE:. It completely died on me after only 3 weeks. Although I liked it when it was alive, I decided to just get a refund. Then I took the money and got a Nook Color and rooted it. Yes, it costs a lot more, however, the Nook Color is a mustang, where the novel is only a pinto. As a reader, this could be a better choice (easier, better batt life, etc.), but the corners is to be by far a better tablet. Check out my review on it also.

I have this for Christmas, and I enjoy it now that I worked through a few questions. Not familiar with it, I initially thought it was just another ereader competition with the Nook and Kindle. Well it is not. Not at all. It is also meant to be an Ipad, as I read other comparison to have. It is a unique product that can not be judged by any of those other devices. Once I discovered everything. Doing these little puppies I was really impressed, especially since the price could
Getting it up and running first with my WiFi, email and Barnes & Noble account was pretty easy and hassle free. With the SD slot, it was also easy for my music playlists and some photos. The screen looked great, loved that everything built in color, and the unit even came with a pen. Awesome! But here was the problem: When it came to actually read books or surf the Internet, I found the screen to be a pain. It took several swipes to turn pages while reading and surfing the internet was frustrating because I could not avoid on each link, if you try to scroll. Adding to this, the unit was pretty slow.
first I just accepted the quirks as native attempts at a cheap product to do too much. However, if I get a little investigation, I learned that I needed to download the firmware from Pandigital website. At first this does not work so well because the site apparently can not handle a lot of traffic and was overrun during Christmas – apparently a very popular gift. No matter what I did the firmware would not take. Then I started reading about the Android operating system, Android apps and came across some videos showing how other, much more tech savvy than I had to use it. I went back to the Pandigital website and noticed they offered to release a download on the Android operating system. I tried it. It worked. Then I tried again, the Pandigital firmware, and even that was now. However, I prefer to work with the Android download because you are better able to use apps. In any case, the system is incredibly fast and I have no problems with the touch screen.
is As mentioned by other reviewers, version 1.5, has some limitations in terms of the applications that work with him, but there is still much for my taste. Now I can YouTube videos, I have allowed a selection of a few feature-rich web browser (eg Opera Mini), and I’m also with multiple ereader programs and formats, providing easy access to tons of free ebooks and also me , buying from vendors other than Barnes & Noble. I love, love, love it! It works perfectly.
All that said, I think it is a shame for anyone to have to go through all the effort to optimize this product. I had returned almost to the point. But now that I know how it actually works, it really works beyond my wildest expectations. You’d have to pry it from my cold dead hands to get it away from me. It’s so good, and honestly, there’s really nothing else on the market quite like, especially in terms of value.
If you want to listen to music on her headphones are a must. I would also recommend a good case for it. I bought a leather “flip case / stand”, which was designed for the Nook. It’s not perfect, but still works very well. I like it much better than all the neoprene cases.
Finally I would add that, even though their website says downloading the Android firmware will void the warranty, if I called the support line, they insisted that it does not work. In fact, they are going to make it completely by customer demand. So, do not be afraid to use it.

You probably something not able to find as good as this for a tight pricing. My only problem with him the fact that it only runs Android 1.5. Most people should not worry about it because they said no use in knowing operating system to have. Most will buy to read this e-book. It’s perfect.
The browser is great, had no problems with viewing one of the many sites that I have visited so far. Fairly quickly.
The reading experience is good. I can to complain about in this regard. notes, bookmarks, highlights, look up selected words in the dictionary, and also in search of selected words on google, all of the e-book.
One has to be said, and it’s pretty important. Once you bring this thing home, DO, a firmware update. Out of the box, this thing was very sluggish. After firmware update, it was almost like hell.
Plays videos, but they have in a particular format, the MPEG-4. Not some mpeg-4, however. The best thing to do is to use a program like Xilisoft Video Converter, and for the output profile Select “I-Phone MPEG-4,” I have other mpeg-4 is tried and they have failed. Not sure why.
The internal speaker is very quiet and plastic-sounding, well, firstly, because it is very small His is not meant to be a boom box anyway hang a headset on and it sounds good
to mention another thing:…! Can you play YouTube videos on this but you have an older version of the Android youtube ” “. use app
