Dead On Arrival, but Fixable 🙂 After using it for a few days I’m upping the rating on the ASUS MeMo Pad 7 to 4 stars. The screen is clear and bright, 16G of storage is pretty good for a $79 tablet, and the sound is also pretty good for such small speakers (yes, there are two speakers which is a nice feature- most tablets only have one and pipe both stereo channels into the single speaker).Note that this is NOT the “HD” model. The screen resolution is 1024×600, not the 12800×800 of the HD model. Frankly it looks fine to me and to be honest I doubt I’d notice the higher resolution. Both movies and videos look fine on the screen to me.The *only* downside in my opinion is that it doesn’t have a physical “Home” button the way most tablets do. The Back/Return, Home, and Menu/Recent buttons are all virtual (onscreen) and they move as the display rotates. Some people might like this but I’d like to have at least one actual physical button on the face of the tablet to wake it or display…
