Dude, I got a Dell!!! And it’s Awesome!!! (Google for the Dell Dude reference. lol) Like everyone else, I saw all of the positive press the Dell XPS 13 received during CES 2015. Since the XPS 13 was made available for ordering right after it was announced, and since I needed a new laptop to replace my failed Microsoft Surface Pro 3 experiment, I decided to take a plunge and buy the latest and greatest thing.I like the Surface Pro 3, but I need a laptop that has good performance + a good keyboard + long battery life. So far the XPS 13 appears to have answered all of my prayers. Here are some of my quick thoughts on the device thus far:✔ PROS:- Beautiful “bezel-less” screen. Wide viewing angles. Can be viewed in direct sunlight- Thin screen bezel allows this 13″ laptop to fit within an 11″ laptop size chassis- Build quality is solid. There’s no flex in the keyboard or the bottom of the device- Thin, light weight, and ultra-portable. Its soft touch carbon fiber material looks and feels…

Mostly good Great PC, only cons are1. SD slot is not fully sized. I like to keep an SD permanently inserted with movies/music, but then it sticks out and catches on stuff. I even bought a adapter thingy that can be used with Macbooks and a microSD that have the same idiotic design (about 2/3 the size of a regular SD) but guess what, that size doesn’t fit either… Annoying if you like to permanently use SD cards, and with only 128 GB of memory, you need all you can get (maybe the deliberately make the slot small/annoying to discourage you from using a permanent SD and encourage you to order the 256 GB version.2. When charging both the tip of the charger, and the light on front of the PC light up. It can be useful, but it can also be too much if you’re charging in the same room as you’re sleeping (like in hotels). I end up putting a towel over the pc to stop the light. Smaller light(s) would be better. Note however that in general the charger is great, really small and thin…
