Apple makes the best notebooks as you know The best notebooks- the MacBook and the MacBook Pro Well, today, we’re introducing a third kind of notebook We’re introducing the best kind of notebook It’s called the MacBook Air There’s something in the Air So thinness, we’re talking thin here Let’s, let’s take a look It’s so thin It’s the worlds thinnest notebook It even fits inside one of these envelopes that we’ve all see Floatin’ around the office, so let me go ahead and show it to you know It’s called the MacBook Air There’s something in the Air It’s called the MacBook Air (ooooo aaaaa MacBook Air!) I’m still stunned To fit an entire Mac in here, was an amazing feat of engineering I’m..I’m stunned It’s called the MacBook Air There’s something in the Air It’s called the MacBook Air (ooooo aaaaa MacBook Air!) @SuperLance31 By the way I am not talking ‘geeky’, that is just how I talk, and yes you are correct, the Macbook Air memory is awful and the ram is terrible but that is not the point of a macbook air. A macbook air wasn’t designed to have amazing specs it was designed to be a thin notebook that can carry out daily task, it is not designed to be a computer that can carry out multiple heavy programs at one time, THAT IS WHAT AN IMAC AND A MACBOOK PRO ARE FOR!!!!

    @SuperLance31 u can’t insert CD’s but it has amazing flash memory which makes it very quick! Though on the contrary I still prefer the Macbook Pro. It is the best notebook in the world and offers a world of industry leading specs. I can’t wait for the next Macbook Pro, apparently, according to rumours, it’s going to be completely redesigned…

    @TechCentury I prefer Snow Leopard because for some reason I like the UI of it better. There’s too much grey in Lion for me. I mean, it’s an awesome OS but I rather have SL for now and I can always upgrade if I ever wanted to.

    @braydenmartindale Well I think the current generation MacBook Airs with the Core i processors are definitely powerful enough for those requirements.

    In my opinion you should definitely get 4gb of Ram though.

    Regarding the battery life I am not sure, Apple claims 5 hours for the 11 inch, with intense tasks this will probably change quite a bit.

    @TechCentury
    Do you think a 11 inch Macbook air could do apps like iPhoto, iWeb, iMovie and other intensive apps? I have a 13 inch Mid-2010 Macbook Pro, but I’m looking for better battery life and easier to carry around, but I don’t know if it would be good enough to run my apps because my Pro barely gets by on 4GB ram and 2.4GHz processor.

    @TechCentury Okay, thanks. I will save up for $800 then 🙂 Hopefully I can get one soon. I don’t want one with Lion on it. I want a Snow Leopard MacBook Air.

  8. TechCentury says:

    @TheWeeft Well it was not too bad but after a while you just wish to have a larger screen.

    If you use it at home you can of course also hook it up to an external monitor.
