This review is from: Speck SPK-A0225 SeeThru Case for MacBook Air 13″ (2nd Moses) (Personal Computers)

I had replaced a Speck case on my now 15 ” MBP and it performed well and kept the computer-look like the day it came out of the box. This new clear case for the second-generation MacBook Air thin and flexible material is installed, but again, it’s like a second skin by very little bulk and weight to your computer. It set itself firmly anchored to the edge of the aluminum case with a reassuring click and it stays. There is no worry that it quite unintentionally. It can be easily removed, but maybe not as easily as the product description above would have you believe.
All of the computer connections are easily accessible and there are no sharp edges or loose cut or scrape or suspended to be pulling the computer in / out backpack. Precision and Thoughtful design of the case is impressive, even the feet of the MBA fit perfectly in the bottom case.

I was concerned that the extra weight of the case would be too much for the hinges and cause the screen to the unwilling close. Do not worry, that will not happen. Though it is now easier to open the MPA. Before I ‘d had often keep on the floor while lifting the screen from prying it open. Now I only have to lift, no prying . It could be the incremental weight of the lower case, that helps, but more likely it is like bacon on the rear feet designed the case.
Highly recommended if you protect your MBA and looking for new year wish.
[UPDATE] I have to report that in this case has begun to crack after about 6 weeks of use. it cracks at the front corners of the lower housing and the area where you cover the Lift the top of the housing has. I with my MBA with care and not to beat them, so that the cracks are completely unacceptable due to a defect in the material and is. bacon it will be replaced under warranty, but I have to send them the first event at my expense and wait for a replacement. This leaves me vulnerable and adds to the already expensive cost of this case. I still like the case, but I changed to 4 stars because of its poor durability.
[UPDATE 2 (07/04/2012)] The replacement case from Speck also torn. While this is disappointing and somewhat expected (due to the power of the first case), I have bacon give 5-star for customer service. My original purchase date makes me now 3 months to replace out of warranty, but offered bacon (again) without drama. I had to return the faulty case, at my expense, which until the end of about $ 5 with a USPS flat rate envelope. now I my third case, and it is too to tell early on whether there is a difference in materials or construction. It can be a review, but I can not say that from all indications on the box (same model number as original). Only difference may I notice that cover protective plastic film case vary the cut last two cases, this covers most of the upper and lower shells, which one is it cut to expose the diagonal corners. Not a big deal, because you actually ringing the stuff anyway.
[UPDATE (3 06/23/2012)], with the thumb, I will say that I think bacon has fixed the quality problem with this case. I restored the product to 5-star rating. It’s been almost 3 months and the second case holds perfect replacement no cracks (yet), I have actually with my MBA more lately, so this case to see more action than the previous ones. This is the quality that I expected when I bought a stain product. Hopefully, it will ! be a fourth update

Oddly enough, I had a number of Speck cases and products before – they were great, lasted forever, extremely durable, and wonderful products I was in this one disappointed that lined / right cracked front on the top edge after only 2. weeks of use on the MB Air – which is weird – it’s almost the exception that a smaller case is, it’s much much thinner plastic – it was not as if I took the MB Air and compared them with the I for my MB Pro 17 “had apparently it’s really a shame -. I need the case for protection, the lower part is very nice, the rubber feet very useful, and the cuts are perfect – there is simply not tenable – or maybe I got a “lemon” independent – I have now for something a bit more Stable store!

I’m generally a fan of bacon cases (I have four of them now), but this is so thin that I have. felt it was only a matter of time before it cracked in Indeed, it was a matter of two weeks. It cracked at the point where you moved with your finger up the screen of the computer (just above the camera). Maybe it takes is a certain gain.

Get this case if you are a natural-looking slim protective layer that does not add bulk or weight want your MBA. I’m picky about cases and was debated even begin to always, but this I’ve heard is the best because it fits perfectly
    MATERIALS:..
One of the best things I like about the case is SATIN material that never really cold or hot, if you’ve never felt before this material, you should go to the store and check it out .. Hands down probably the best on the market right now
    FIT:
Bacon has done a fantastic job designing this case, all pieces are very accurate and fit like Apple. . it designed the pieces snap tear That’s right Could not ask, nothing more
    DESIGN:…
I honestly can hardly say the case is because you do not have access to all ports, as if. the case would not there MagSafe power adapter is still able to have both directions
    COLORS:..
Wish they had a lime green satin color That would be so dope, but I doubt it that. ever will. Apparently there are a few other colors come out, none of which are limestone. This is a fairly subtle gray color, very clean, but a bit boring. No complaints, though, really.

This case was below the comparable Incase product prompted priced me to purchase it. The case has a nice feel to it and the Apple logo does not shine through (a nice bonus). The fit was good, but there are a few problems with this case. It broke after 1 month of use as the tabs on the bottom shut. Also the lack of holes in the bottom, because my Macbook Air 13.3-inch kicking with an alarmingly loud fans in. This case must be prevented and must be stable overheat. I highly recommend this case, as in a month’s time and again not broke now I have a moderately expensive, broken case, which probably make a nice addition to a range of land filling.
Oh, my cheapness me, as I have literally bought the perforated Incase case, but not an hour ago for $ 60.00 I hope this case will at least last

It definitely adds weight to the thin and light MacBook Air is not much to add girth, which is great.
The big disadvantage is the extra weight of the screen is clearly not what is intended for the hinge, fall back so that the screen tends if not. on a stable surface A very minor problem, but worth mentioning.
Overall it is a great product.

Bacon gives you what it promises. slight protection of the air, and its cool that when the air is turned on, the Apple logo shines through clear The only thing that prevents them from ever five starts are picky points. but they might be important to other buyers. This case is a good matte finish that is easy to keep and is not slippery, but it does occasionally show fingerprints, if you are a little sweaty. Not a deal breaker. the other thing, which is a bit more aggravating that the light weight of the top cover sometimes forces the air on the screen to fold all the way back, if you’ve just bent to the right place. There are times when (as in this report to write that I’m on the air input) I prefer the bacon has to go -. the air just seems a little more agile and easier without them, it is not to grab the easiest on and off when you do it every day, but if you’re a good looking, stylish and beautiful rugged protection, I’d go for that bacon

This review is from: 3M Privacy Filter for Apple MacBook Air – 13 inches (PFMA13) (Personal Computers)

Ok, so I was convinced that this other away from all the To purchase reviews. I was very skeptical, especially when I read how it was applied. I work with computers and other electronic daily for more than 12 hours per day and the idea of placing and 2 thin strips of tape between the filter an LCD screen just did not seem like you want to add it up I’m not sure what other people’s standards for quality, but I know I do not like to be distracted by a distortion. almost everything, will my eye to catch and because my focus is on my work drive.
To be honest I would not even have given this a star if I was not forced to. First thing I noticed when I remove the filter from the packaging was removed, that 3M had to stamp their name into the filter itself. At the top of the middle of a heat stamp of the 3M logo that shows up when you turn on the screen. I first decided to give him the advantage Doubt and the band first try. The first question I had was to do a good deal to be in a clean room, if the application does. Filter, after sitting in plastic for who knows how long has just enough static large amounts of dust attract fetched. I wasted trying the first two strips, they are without any dents or cuts. Who ever has a screen protector white applied to their phone, that even the smallest speck of dust can have a noticeable lack of the screen lead appearance. I Once the strips in place and the filter is applied to the screen, I was made of the way my screen work horrified. I noticed both strips as clearly distorted and warped the image around them. I tried the so-called thin tabs. These will go on the frame of the screen so you can easily remove and replace the filter at will. These are, in fact, about the same thickness as the plastic packaging you would a USB flash drive in order to be opaque and to find. Needless to say, that there is so much distraction as the band did caused. addition added just enough thickness on the screen that I bent over and scratches on the screen when the lid is closed and the filter is not in place worry about. Plus the fact that with a Mac Book Air, the tabs to fail the lid close complete / correct. Last and not least, as I waited to see if that would strip “Settle” or if the tabs where the trouble that I have tested the effectiveness of the filter. I always keep my brightness on my air at about 50%. the filter in place, and the brightness is less than 50% of the filter failed miserably, his duty to fulfill. I stood on all different angles behind the computer, and while the filter mask has darken the screen, it would be a better description, the image on the screen was still recognizable. A privacy filter should at least keep your screen private , not only the image darker

class=”small” #009900″> Customer review from the Amazon Vine ™ Program ( What’s this? ) I chose this article because I, If you see an expensive laptop and you have a normal privacy filter, the cheap notebook view, because the lack of viewing angle hate does. The 3M Gold Privacy Filter updates, and makes the people looking at your screen, pretty and high End-looking gold – not only a dark screen
Well I do not know why computer companies do not build this technology into the actual screens, so you do not have to fix something and get it dirty, etc. But up. . that day comes, you will be stuck with this type of device if you want to protect your computer from prying eyes

any device that sits on the top of the screen is:
    1) Block some light / brightness .. This may mean that you need to shoot more battery power, the brightness when using the filter. This is a trade-off with all the privacy filters and 3M did not set need than other filters. ‘ br /> 2) the lesson is a little clarity. Usually you will not notice if you are going to use it, but if you use the clip to the filter you want to remove a lot, you could notice the difference. Again, no big deal. 3M on this filter, but it’s something to change
3). Forcing with how the filter sets deal. Some filters come with glue around the edge of the filter, others like these, with tape for the edges or clips are for the sides.
    For me
got this 3M filter 4 stars because, as the filter attaches. Clips are bulky and while perhaps not all the filters on the time, you might find these chunky clip on all the time. The clips also recommend that you remove the filters more frequently, which means setting (or getting used to changes) brightness and clarity changes. Tape is worse and takes off. seems like such a shame, a high-end filter that (looking) of low-end measures of methods.
But for me, makes the gold for this weakness, and I will continue to use these in place of my other filters.
