This review ( What is it )
This review is from: Kindle Fire HD 7″, Dolby audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, 16 GB (Electronics)

I have an iPad user since the original came out. I have a third iPad I have worked in IT in the past few years, I’d say I’m pretty good with technology and fancy new equipment. With this introduction out of the way, I will review key points that I have seen, touched in other reviews. Here goes …
    BUILD
The unit feels good and solid. I’m a little at how hard it is surprised, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The rubber backing is always nice for added grip. It’s not as nice as aluminum unibody say, but it is not no $ 600.

SCREEN The screen is fantastic. But my problem is the same as if iPad get Retina display, other than the OS, everything looks kinda … meh. Games are not high definition, and neither are the movies I streamed with Netflix and Amazon Prime, at least not high enough to see on this screen smoothly. I could see a good amount of pixelation. Hopefully apps get updated to higher resolutions.
    LOCK SCREEN ADS
Yeah, there are ads on my lock screen. I’m not sure why such a big deal. How much time do people really spend on the lock screen? The first thing I thought when I saw the ads, WOW is the pictures are really crisp! The ads are there to subsidize some of the $ 200 price tag. I could get rid of the $ 15 to, so I can adjust it, but I could not. I feel like this has been blown out of proportion by other customers.

SOUND The sound from the speakers is great. Much better than you’d get from more expensive models, very clear and clean. I have the official Amazon case and it did not affect the sound. There is not much to say more, I doubt anyone will complain.
    CRASH
I have two apps crash when opening. I do not know if it. The application or operating system It is probably somewhere in the middle. Not a big deal for me. If it crashes, then I just tap again and it works. I’ve watched a few movies with the built-in player and Netflix and Amazon Prime. No crashes for me at all. I’m sure OS stability will be improved as time goes by.
    My iPad 3 compared
satisfaction is obviously the fire HD not as “good” as it were. I got it mainly because I wanted something smaller. I also especially the iPad can be used to surf the web, watch videos and play some simple games. The Fire HD does this and does so much more. If you are expecting an iPad killer, or a desktop replacement or a productivity machine, then you should look elsewhere.
I bought this to be a media device, and I think that is what is meant to be the Amazon. In this context, I think this is a great device. In fact, I’ve decided to keep it and sell my iPad 3, this gives me a $ 200 + to spend on other things. Remember, this device is not for everyone. If you want a media device, you will be happy. Do not expect an iPad for $ 200.
    EDIT 9/18/12
I wanted to add just a few things I have noticed in the last 24 hours.

    – Power / Volume buttons: There’s a bit hard to press, which alleviated somewhat by being the official event. Maybe it’s because I am a long time iPad users, but that is
definitely a bit strange – Screen Glare:. It took a while to notice, but I played a Seek & Find game while on Caltrain, with the bright sun in Palo Alto, right at me, and had no problems, you will see the screen. I remembered that Amazon has mentioned how the screen has been modified to reduce glare, and they did a great job
    – App resolution. In my review I mentioned how apps not that great, but I think it just depends on the app. Some of the games such as Big Fish Games, look fantastic on the screen updates
-. Overall I am still very happy with my purchase. It is not a perfect solution, but it’s worth the $ 200.
    EDIT 9/20/12
Two days later and I’m still very happy with the device. Here are some more thoughts from me:
    BATTERY LIFE
I’ve been playing Enigmatis (a hidden object game) for about an hour and a half each day on my commute. These drains about 15 – 20% of the battery with the screen brightness almost the highest setting. IPad not gold standard but still very good.
    synchronize music
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and get used a app called Easy Phone to transfer all my music from iTunes to the phone. It transferred everything, including album art, and I was hoping to find something like to that for this device. I tried iSyncr, a $ 3 app, which have the task, but not synchronize as the album art. I uploaded all my music to the cloud, then downloaded it from Amazon, which enhances the audio quality for many of my songs and added artwork, but this is not yet showing up on the device.
I was very frustrated all get on the album cover, and finally just gave up … Read more

This review is from: Kindle Fire HD 7″, Dolby audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, 16 GB (Electronics)

I have an Amazon customer for years with the possession of the first-generation Kindle and the current 6 “Kindle. I bought the first generation Fires for my kids for Christmas last year and I bought both the contact and the first fire for my father.

I already An iPad and no need feel that they have a fire, as I copied them to believe the same purpose. However, I have placed an order for the Paper White, but after thinking about it, why not have a fully functional device that only more than one ereader.
is I love the eInk displays and bright as the regular Kindles are. One of my main complaints about tables are that they are heavy and you can not read the screen in bright daylight. I’m not really sure why the sunlight as a big deal for me since I probably only outside when I read on holiday (2x per year).
Anyway, I canceled the White Paper, and ordered the fire HD. I love it. It is portable I have never my Ipad everywhere, just too big. I uploaded my entire iTunes music library to Amazon Cloud, (so much for themselves Apple-blocked) and of course, all my books are on it. I borrow regularly books from my local library and was often feel frustrated when I was away from home, I could not search for books on my regular Kindle, becuase the experimental browser just was not functional enough.
The sound is amazing, as everyone has said, as well as the display . No need to go into detail about the things going on all the other words. My only criticism is that the touchscreen is not really as responsive as I would like, but it still works fine. Display of reflection is not cut and can be read out doors . This is not to say there is no glare, it is not only no longer readable LCD screen.

Where to go the advertising, I do not find too intrusive. I like to know what other people bought or may have looked at. what is the problem? If your friends recommend something to you, you get mad? Same thing here to me.
I like that my e-mail synchronization, and now actually the prime streaming video service. Yes, I know I could use the app on my iPad, but like I said, I like it all neatly packaged here.
My only question is how many HD movies / TV Shows can be downloaded to the device? download I like when I go and delete when I get home.

If you’re an Amazon user, you should know that this tablet is not otherwise, that a device (Apple?), and the attempt to get you fully integrated into their system. Should not really be a surprise anyway that all shopping experiences point Amazon.
I am pleased a tablet portable easy to acquire.
    Great job Amazon.

My word to the rest of the “reviewers” do not actually own it, but write reviews on products that you do not have to access a feature that you read about it. It’s stupid and clutters up the reviews for all of us that actually like to read what other people say about a product.
    ** Update ** 01/10/2012
After my fire for a few weeks, I am still very few complaints. I pretty much wear it with me when I’m out of the house. I love the ability to read, or, if there is such available Wi-Fi film a View. I wish it came with 4G, but I bet it would make the price out of line with other small tablets.
The only drawbacks I have the input of experience is. Apparently it’s not Predicitive Text for the Silk browser makes typing a little hard. although I hear there will be an update.
I like to leave fingerprints on the screen while reading, but simply removed with s soft cloth.
I 3 books read, and I’m on my 4th and the screen is not a problem at all. This was my biggest concern before buying. I have no problem at all. Just so you know, I read a lot and love the Eink Kindles, it was this is an experiment to see if I could read for long periods of time without fatigue.
Not a problem at all. All in all, I still love it. my Ipad because I have not always used my fire.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad you enjoy your Kindle Fire HD, and we are particularly excited to see your encouraging comments about the display and sound quality, as the team has worked really hard to build an excellent experience.
We wanted to answer your question about storage conditions. HD content is much greater than SD Content is why Kindle Fire HD starts at 16GB -. an HD device with 8GB would be too simple an average is a 90-minute HD movie 2GB and a 45-minute TV episode is 0.9GB HD 16GB with your Kindle Fire. HD, you can connect up to 6 HD 13 HD movies or TV episodes varies. This number depending on the other items that you have saved or installed on your device.
We hope this information will help

This product came a day before the expected delivery date. I was impressed that this item ships fully charged and ready to use right out of the box. I’m still on the ice sandwich system used, because I currently. Honeycomb on my Android phone I’ve noticed the battery life is kind of short on this item, but that’s the price we expect to pay for this item. This product is lightweight and does not feel cheaply made. The WiFi works great when I’m with my home network or my phone as a hotspot. The system seems so far responded well and play Flash videos very quickly. I am very satisfied with this product, and I’ll be buying two of these units for my kids, because I’m sure if they touch it, they want it. I’ll update this review as soon as I try the HDMI port and other functions.

UPDATE ******** I have with this tablet all day. Just got more apps from the game store as far as words with friends, draw something, and angry birds works great on this device.

I have the equipment and was surprised at how nice it looked. It is a solid tablet. The hardware lives up to its description. Its snappy and does want to do everything.
The display of sound, the materials, the front camera is far superior to anything in its class.
There is a big drawback, and I mean major. The battery life is absolutely the worst I’ve seen on a tablet. Let me explain how bad the battery life. Think of the worst cell phone you’ll ever own, when it came to the battery. Ok got it’s in your head This tablet is much worse then that phone. You are using an app and look at the battery life, come back and look at it 5 minutes later – 5-7% off
If you actually take your tablet its about 1% battery life. every 1-2 minutes. The wifi is on, doing basic things.
There are no long trips in the car with this tablet, no short trips for that matter. At best you are going to a full two hours netflix movie from this tablet before her alive or dead. That’s the really sad part. If this unit had average battery life, it would be a great product. Id buy a 5 more to give as gifts.
These batteries are not expensive to produce. I understand its a cheap tablet, but it’s only a few dollars more to give this tablet a somewhat respectable battery life.
an advantage, if you can say that with a small battery, it is doing loading quickly. 100% in less than 1/2 hour.

This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-Inch, Wi-Fi) (Personal Computers)

My mother bought last year 8.9 model last week and I fell in love with it, so I bought the new 10.1 second tab This is my fourth day with him, and I love it. I’ve been wanting a tablet for over a year (I love tech toys), and finally could not messing around with one that was not mine, so I had to buy one. I have a 17 “laptop, which gets only 1.5 hours on a charge and wanted something small I could just do internet stuff like twitter, facebook, surfing and listening to Internet radio, podcasts and music, the smaller and more mobile then my laptop was ginormous. While shopping around I saw mainly mid-priced android tablets, mainly because of my fear of horror thanks to Apple iTunes software.
The other tablet that really caught my eye was the Asus Transformer TF300. You can do a simple Google search to see where it seems the transformer, where the Galaxy did not win, and vice versa. Ultimately space was no big deal for me and I really have no need for HDMI output. What about me the transformer is the display of the Galaxy, and it is night and day difference for me. Because surfing the Internet is then to 90% of what I was a tablet for a large display, where Samsung use really shines more worth it to me better transformer. speced For those who buy a new 10.1 “Transformer Tablet definitely give it a look. I would also suggest a look at the Motorola Xoom
    Pros:.
    – size, probably one of the smaller 10.1 “mid-level tablets
    – display is bright and clear, the text is very easy to read, even if I have the screen brightness turned all – – br /> the battery life was great, even under the peak the midlevel tablets (do a google search)
    Cons:
    – long battery charge time, no big deal, as I m ‘will usually charge
at night – no stock HDMI OUT
    – the wtf so tiny charging cable, I mean who wants a quick charger makes no sense to me
    – not a standard USB port, but they have an Apple like
own connection – feels like for the price it should be some type of HDMI OUT and 32 GB of disk space instead of 16
Because the last con I give this tablet can not 5 stars, but it gets fourth

This review ( What is it )
This review is from: When Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-Inch, Wi-Fi) (Personal Computers)

buying this tablet, remember, this is brand new, but still old. Brand new in that it comes installed with the latest operating system from the factory and some of the specifications Samsung changed a number 2 next to the contact name tablet. This is old based on the fact that Samsung has scraped a few design features of the original tablet sell this one for a lower price tag. As in the first week of release tablet I’ve no downloadable software that will allow me to watch movies would play on it (besides Google Play store, of course) to find. At this point, tablets of this size meant are for entertainment, not see how that is to entertain someone, if the only way to get videos is seen through already with them in the acceptable format or offer them back from the Google Store
    You can not currently use
download HBO Go, Hulu + is not supported yet, and Amazon streaming is not supported (because of all the moment on the Flash support). So, they come up with a patch work to stream I would not buy this tablet.
Yes, you can websites. Music sounds great. YouTube is cool clips of people strange things to watch while eating your breakfast. It’s nice to check out my photos on a light screen, while sitting in bed.
This tablet will be amazing for the price point that when the support is to resolve problems. I would have thought it was to take care of before the publication accepted.
    ** Update ** (24 June 2012)
For most of this tablet is updated and can be exactly what you want to do it. Hulu + works now. Streaming Amazon.com ‘s films is great. HBO Go is still a no go. Accessories are always better for the most part. Total software has been updated to find out. The kinks and I would highly recommend this tablet for someone who does not want to go that way Ipad

This review ( What is it )
This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-Inch, Wi-Fi) (Personal Computers)

Part of my job It is a media streaming hardware to evaluate an entertainment company. In recent weeks I have acquired to test an iPad 2, Kindle Fire, and this Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and evaluate. I also own the original Droid Incredible, android where my experience comes from being. These are the devices that I will be comparing this device.
Let me start off by saying I really wanted to love this thing. I was an android user for a few years and thought it would translate well to the tablet environment. While there are some nice things, it’s really missing is the most departments. After a week with the device, which is what I did.
    GOOD looks
-The unit itself and feels nice in your hands, even with the plastic back.
front over stereo speakers are a nice addition, unlike the other tablets that I have seen.
battery seems decent so far. Hits about 9 hours, which is an hour longer than the Kindle Fire, but still behind the iPad 2
Peel universal remote app is very cool, because the device has an IR blaster. The decor was simply enter without remote control codes. He worked with my Samsung TV (obviously), DirecTV DVR and Sony sound bar.
    BATHROOM
-Unfortunately, this device is hardly an upgrade from the previous version. Many of the specifications are the same, if not worse than the original Galaxy Tab 10.1., To similarly priced tabs (iPad 2 $ 399, ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 $ 379, Acer Iconia Tab A510 $ 450, Acer Iconia Tab A200 $ 350)
comparison does not go well in the benchmark tests, compared with the original. Check the Engadget review for details.
-The cameras are pretty awful and they have removed the LED flash on the back of the previous version. They are still waiting for Skype and Google video chat.
-The display is not nearly as responsive as the iPad 2, Kindle Fire or Droid Incredible. I found myself pressing a lot harder than I was used to.
-Even if my tap water has been registered, it sometimes took a second or two to respond to the tablet. Just not as snappy as you want it.
-Certain applications not on the device (HBO Go, Hulu) work, while others have reduced functionality (MLB At Bat Lite and DirecTV does not stream video)
Oddly enough, while the device uses micro-USB for loading, it is not so charged register when connected to a computer. It is to load very slowly, but will take more than twice as long. . You must use the proprietary USB wall adapter that comes with the device in order to calculate correctly the
    remarkable
-on bottom dock use given 4 soft keys: Back, Home, App Switcher and screenshot. The screenshot button is furthest from the edge and ends up getting hit often enough that you wonder why they ever recorded. I personally can not be a reason to think about taking a screenshot of my desktop tab.
-The Samsung Hubs for games, media and music are interesting, if you feel like paying for extra content, but similar to the other bloatware included, you could live without it.
-It does not work with my Mac mini or Mac Pro sync when connected via USB. I’ve been using the bundled version of Dropbox for all file transfers, so this is no big deal.
If all 3 devices arrived, I was expecting the Galaxy Tab the first order, then iPad, then Kindle Fire. That’s all changed. The Kindle Fire is by far the most enjoyable experience, although it lacks some of the features of the other 2. It is followed by the iPad 2 and then this.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a strange product. It seems like Samsung wanted to reposition the unit from the new iPad by the price and not give huge upgrades. It has already been exposed to a different set of tablets and go harder it is not good. For the same price you can have any number of tabs, sure to give you a better experience.
