Android tablets have found something of a niche with affordable deals 7in (Google Nexus 7, Amazon Kindle Fire), although they may soon have competition from the mini 7.85in iPad rumor. If the rumor mill is on the money, mini iPad launch …

Update August: ICS has been released and it works very well. flash support on chrome gives me some trouble, but Dolphin Browser yet it worked well. ICS is nice and runs a bit smoother. I can not work the HDMI mirroring (and now have the official Le Pan-cable for them) so if that’s important to wait for the upgrade. I enjoy ICS far more than I thought I would. I renewed the attached video in a format optimized with ICS and it’s on youtube, just search “le pan Ice Cream Sandwich “and I think it is because I think they still ship with Honeycomb I leave the old video up now
Update 23 May:… I’m still very pleased with my tablet I have almost no problems, and the few that I had been fixed with a reset. I leave my tablet on all the time. All the time. The total time it has spent physically off since I got in January less than 3 days. I still have a is good battery life, and things are great. Brief note since this generation of tablets with newer models (Transformer Prime, Ipad 3, etc) replaced. Now find similar tablets with good opportunities in the ballpark of that price. Part of my emphatic character recommend this Tablet was originally that all similar tablets at the time were $ 400 or more. Le Pan II is still certainly a contender. An advantage of this tablet is still being almost the only Android tablet at 4:3 ratio. I find that very could be comfortable for web browsing. Is not that a big deal is probably a Xoom or something that can be compared and possibly more depending on the price, though it is most refurbs over Le Pan a new unit. I still recommend this tablet but marched the progression of technology Even if you Roku, and you have to check an Android device Gregg Reno apps for Roku;. Juice for Roku is the app I use the second most . It is beaten only by the browser on my tablet I have a surround sound system and now my graphic tablet radio, it’s great for anyone with a lot of mp3s

video in my I show basic functions, google applications., amazon applications, camera, music and video demos built. Much of the list of the pros and cons are still best seen in the review below. It went pretty long, so I often have to compromise on amazon requirements. Sorry to say again for the length of it and my written review, but there is so much about this tablet. I hope it helps people make informed decisions.
** The tablet Google Play (my video was from the switch, if it was the Android Market, but it still allows access to all Google Apps and access markets.)

Let say that I the TC970 (previous model) in October, and after 2 months I initially bought was excited about the Le Pan II I, the Le Pan II for a few hours and I’m really enjoying it already. Originally, I was wary about the unknown company but took a chance, it was the best decision I ever made, since I was on a reliable Ipad quality device at a fraction of the price I will be more that
company in the comment section Basics:…
It has a nice professional build and feels solid, not cheap plastic feel all quality
Fast processor, boots in about 30 seconds, quick start on applications, and many:> ** Pros.. run without problems.
It has an aspect ratio of 4:3, as the iPad, which I find more comfortable for web browsing via the 16:9 tablets.
    Fully functional Android Market.
    Youtube app works great.

    synchronization with Gmail just fine.
    Beautiful high-definition screen.
    full Flash support.
    Sensitive Screen

with good response on the keyboard, I can type about 30 words per minute on the tablet (~ 90 on an actual keyboard) and it holds very well (up my pace as I get used to the onscreen keyboard).
no problems with Wifi, good signal.
Good accelerometer can use it to play games easily and works well with Google Sky Map.
Decent microphone with wide pick up (I use one. frequency Analysis Program) **
    disadvantages.
proprietary 30 pin connector, but it comes with a USB connector and charger (so only kind of annoying)

No USB ports do not get, keyboards via USB (it supports Bluetooth, so you can get accessories, but with Bluetooth) to connect.
No rear camera (no big deal for me
, I have a digital camera anyway), and front facing camera is only 2MP
    ** Notes:.
The speakers are top for portable devices (almost no portable devices have good speakers as good bass usually average needs larger speakers). These are pretty good overall, but for audio excellence in any … Read more

I was very pleased with my Le Pan tablet first exit, it went well. Then I woke up one morning and the screen went dark. I pressed the power button. Nothing. I pressed the reset button, it comes on and boots at the Le Pan Logo screen and stays there. I press the power button, nothing. again I press the reset button, and it displays the start of Le Pan logo and stays there.
    Wash, rinse, repeat.
What now? I am one week after the point I had to return it to Amazon. Can I contact Le Pan. They tell me to try a few things. I try. no joy. then they give me an RMA. Immediately I was restless. I do not even know who these people are. What if I never returned my tablet. I keep trying to get it to work nothing.. Finally, I boxed it and sent it via Fedex, which I had to pay .
Guess what? It’s been almost 2 months and I’m still waiting. OMG How many times do I have to learn this lesson! Never go cheap!

Basically, I’m in . a black hole, with no idea of when I will see the light again, you will not even give me hope here Le Pan last message to me:
    “Hello XXXX,
    Unfortunately
We are currently secured with RMAs
your device is processed on this. Time, although I. Unable, you have an estimated date on which we will be able to send out We will, however, update with a tracking number, when we returned to the shipment of the equipment you. We will move as quickly as possible to your device shipped out.
Thank you for your patience and we understand that this can be a frustrating process. “
Hmmm … Apparently I have allot companies in this black hole, although I did not see you. So yes, it is half the price of the iPad, but half of nothing is nothing. I hope you never breaks.

This review is from: Le Pan II 9.7-Inch Tablet PC with 8GB Flash Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (Personal Computers)

    [Update
dated 04.01.2012 below] I’m in a hurry and will hopefully write a detailed review over time First Impressions:.
Let it be clear: I am a first time Android user, and for the first time Tablet owners. I’ve used an iPhone 3Gs for years and have a range of laptops and desktop workstations. I would say that in the calculation of I’m an advanced user, but not an experienced user. I do front-end Web development including coding, so I can figure out most things, but I have not a degree of crosslinking and find usually stuff thanks to our friends at Google. So maybe do not know much about computers, but I follow quite well, when things start getting buggy
    why I wanted a tablet.
I like to read PDFs on the night and my iPhone screen is just too small I would also like to practice my guitar online. or PDF tab and instruction and even video tutorial. Not only does the laptop but create too much distance with the keyboard, but it only allows me to view documents in landscape mode. I felt that an eReader would be best I was very impressed with the performance that I’ve tested. I prefer e-ink for reading, but the slow processor just killed it for me. I eventually settled on a tablet as it was versatile. I knew I wanted a monitor that was at least 9 “, like most of my documents in PDF format.
    Why not buy an iPad
As iPhone users, I was obliged to buy an iPad after I research a lot of tablets. I thought that it was the best performer, and I already had many of the applications that would be friendly iPad. But two things stopped me because the jump. First of all, the iPad is what I too expensive for such a portable device (which I guess I’ll finally sit drops, or leave in a cafe by accident) to consider. Secondly, I really, really hate iTunes. It was mainly the iTunes headaches, solidified my decision to go with Android. I’m pretty good with computers and sometimes can not figure out how so many regular computer users seem to get by with iTunes. Do not get me wrong. I think Apple hit a home run with the. iPhone It’s awesome and I love my boyfriend – but it’s hard, the same company that intuitively a device so that it does not need to believe a manual created – also created what could be the worst piece of software I have used it ever be. That would be iTunes. Fortunately, I found a large iTunes replacement, but it was only after the purchase of my Le Pan II
Why I settled on Le Pan II. I
. a lot of research before they had a chance on this one and actually read hundreds of reviews on Android. (as mentioned – concluded that Apple was the only player in town) where, until I saw the first version of the Le Pan I found was actually going to pull the trigger on this first model, but I felt the limitation of the OS would eventually become a problem in the app market, the Le Pan II is a lot more if the old root;. what I just don ‘t have time to deal with, I spend a good part of my time trying to fix PC and network errors, and do not need another headache
    Build Quality: … 5 stars
LP II .. is quite heavy, but the heft it has a very solid feel, not creak or feel cheap parts not overly difficult, but it’s definitely has some weight
Usability: 4 stars My first real go with Android, and it was surprisingly easy. Very intuitive. The only reason it does not deserve 5 stars, because I know that the app is a little confusing organization feel. You can pull. apps on the carousel sliding home pages, but I do not quite understand why that is necessary with all iOS apps are in your carousel sliding home pages, and you can easily group them together with the drag-and-drop folder conversion concept -. much more elegant, I also experience some minor bugs when dragging apps on various roundabouts pages – sometimes to jump on the target page, and do other strange things Not a big deal – .. just not as polished as Apple
    app installation simplicity.
5 stars I was a bit worried about installation issues with Android app, but loaded all my usual applications such as Evernote, Roboform, Skype, Google Apps and others without problems.
    Speed. 5 stars
I remember testing a few different tablets months at a local Best Buy Le Pan II seems to me on the same level with the iPad in terms of. .. Response time is very responsive
    connectivity.
5 stars Very easy to my wireless network sans events
    Quicksearch first impressions: ..
As far as my expectations were this high quality, exceeded bang for the buck I have not tested everything, but they organize my PDFs and MP4 guitar lessons perfect – .. and so has this purchase was worth the PDF reader is a little limited in terms of the zoom factor, but I can be a setting that have overlooked determined … Read more
